Wells Epoxy (Hong Kong) entered the Chinese market in 1989 in Shijiazhuang at first. Then gradually expanded to Guangzhou, Xiamen and Shanghai, offering epoxy resins for electronics adhesives, sealants, packaging, and coatings. Meanwhile Wells Epoxy also founded their own trading companies in Shanghai, Guangzhou, importing a variety of polymer products for the domestic Chinese markets.
In 2006, Wells Electronic Material (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. set up an “Advanced Materials” team to further exploit the wind energy related composite materials.
The Advanced Materials team took off in 2010 and officially established themselves as Wells Advanced Materials (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (also abbreviated to WAM) in the Jiading district of Shanghai. From then, WAM continued to strive through the developments of composite materials for wind energy and other new green energies. Last but not least, WAM has been recognized in the market as an exception customer service provider with flexible customizations capabilities.
In 2014, Wells Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. continued to excel in the wind turbine market while maintaining strategic partnerships with global corporations. The annual production volume ascended over 10,000 tons. In addition, WAM devoted themselves to develop high-performance epoxy resin solutions in pultrusion, filament winding, vacuum infusion and hand lay-up processes. Lastly, by the end of 2014, Wells Group was the third largest market shareholder in the domestic Chinese LED packaging and electronics industry.
